Jessica & William {Wedding}

Jessica and William were married at Honey Lake Plantation with their closest family and friends there to celebrate their new life together. It was a relaxed and fun day with two of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Jessica and Will were so excited that they both had a huge grin on their face for the entire day and nothing could be heard but excited laughter and well wishes from all their loved ones. Immediately following their ceremony, a huge rain storm blew upon us so quickly that everyone barely had enough time to run over to the gathering hall for the reception. Jessica and I had just enough time to capture a few of the first high dynamic images I’ve done at a wedding. The final images are a perfect example of why Jessica is so amazing. No matter what life may bring, nothing is going to damper her happiness and her beautiful smile will shine through any storm. Will, a little on the quiet side normally, was full of excitement and had a huge grin on his face the entire day which you’ll see in the pictures below. Their reception was beautiful and a perfect reflection of who they are: loving, supportive, and happy. I couldn’t have imagined a better day for the lucky couple!

Jessica and Will, I am so honored to have been able to get to know you both over the past few months and truly enjoyed documenting your wedding day. Your thoughtfulness was amazing and appreciated so much, you guys rock!

Heather & Matt {Wedding}

Upon booking Heather and Matt’s wedding, we realized that not only was Heather’s maid of honor one of my best friends when I was in middle school but Matt and my husband were also great friends in high school too. In the days leading up to their wedding, my husband, Eddie, reminisced about the wild days he had with Matt and some of the groomsmen and told me I was in for a great time the day of their wedding. Truer words were never spoken before because Heather and Matt are two of the most fun loving people I have ever met. The life of the party, they both always have a smile on their face, a joke or toast waiting to be shared, and busting out with some great dance moves. I quickly became known as Charlotte, Eddie Fristoe’s wife, and even felt a twinge of guilt at times because Heather and Matt treated more like a guest than a vendor. That is just the kind of people they are though, thoughtful and kind, they  make everyone feel right at home as if they had known one another for years.

The day started off as every wedding does but two things stood out to me the most. One, Matt was hands down the most outwardly excited groom I have ever photographed. Literally hopping up and down at times, he couldn't believe his wedding day was finally here and that he was lucky enough to marry Heather. Two, Matt and Heather had the most amazing first look I could imagine. Heather was admittedly very nervous about walking down the aisle in front of so many people staring at her. This made the first look idea perfect for them and the pictures are proof of that. When Heather walked up to Matt, simply beautiful and elegant in her wedding dress, her smile began to waiver as she nervously wiped away tears already in her eyes. When Matt turned around to see her they both burst out with so many amazingly sweet words that I know that moment will never be forgotten. Full of emotion, they held one another as if it was the first time and it was a scene that some think can only be played out on a movie screen...until they experience it for themselves.

Matt and Heather, thank you so much for bringing me into your lives and asking me to document your wedding day. It was so much fun for so many reasons and I am happy to have reconnected with friends from the past and with the two of you. I know that you guys will have an amazing life ahead of you that will be full of as many romantic and fun memories as your wedding day was.
