Shannon and Alex met in high school, though Shannon was home schooled at the time and Alex was enrolled in the local high school. They were both participating in a local Spanish competition when their eyes met from across the room. It wasn't long before they became an item, and even though the details are unknown, there was a kiss that sealed the deal ;) When it came time for college, they were taken in two different directions-Atlanta and Gainesville. Still, they promised to wait for one another and through countless phone conversations, romantic Skype dates, and of course, trips to visit one another, they strengthened their relationship... and then Alex proposed!
On their wedding day, Shannon and Alex were surrounded by family and friends who were just bursting with smiles, laughter, and obvious love for the couple. The best way to describe the wedding party is amazingly confident, funny, and beautiful...every time I turned around the entire wedding party would be entertaining everyone with their crazy antics. The bride and groom's parents were bursting with pride and admiration for their children and it was so touching it brought tears to my eyes as well as most of the people around me. Listening to the conversations swirling around the room it was agreed upon by everyone that even though Shannon and Alex are amazing as individuals that it is when they are together that they truly shine.
